One of my favorite songs ever is "Where the Streets Have No Name"Hard to rate that higher than "Stairway to Heaven" or The Medley at the end of "Abbey Road", howeverFor whatever it's worth...I'd put U2 up there with anybody, maybe not higher, but up there...except maybe the Beatles because they wrote so many different kinds of groundbreaking songs so incredibly well. I really don't think any other band has done that."in the Name of Love" was extraordinary and groundbreaking at the time. I hope that title is correct. As far as Bono's political career, I never heard him be anything but anti-war, anti-violence and pro feeding Africans. I don't think that can hurt him too bad unless there are issues I'm not aware of.JMHO
RDI hope like hell that Bono isn't dumb enough to crawl up on an anti-aircraft gun somewhere and call our POW's liars. As carried away as he may ever become with his own eminence (and I'm sure he is), I think he's got Jane's example in front of him of what not do.

Just recalling how many times an entertainer, "Star", has used they're notoriaty for worthwhile global issues, or political comments, and then gone south. ( Jane Fonda, Natalie Mains(?)Sometimes they take a bigger bite than they can chew. ie. World peace, etc.
