Make sure to hit the Whole Hog. I think it is on Cantrell. Pulled pork is outstanding. Ribs great. Chicken fair. Brisket is very good. Owner does a lot of national/international competition.
Also, try the White Pig. Different style but very good.
For a good steak, try Faded Rose.
There used to be a place call J.R.'s Ribs. Guy got rich, sold the place. He kept his recipe but started selling his stuff. The new owners used it for a while and were successful. They came up with their own and quit skinning the ribs and place closed. I heard JR considered reopening. Don't know if he did. You might check. Great ribs!!
