We rode to Kings cafe on sunday. One of Montgomery County's Sheriff's motorcycle officers met us at King's Cafe and said starting next month, they are going to begin patrolling and enforcing the speed limit on FM 149.  He also said he had already got two bikes going over 100mph that morning.

Ron

I know a lot of you VTXers ride 149 so I would like to pass this along to you.  I wasn't aware the LEO's were not already doing this, but it looks like they are going to start ticketing more.

Oh they are there alright. The key is to let couple of sports bikes pass you, then a couple miles down the you pass them when they get pulled over. They love to nail them.

If no sports bikes are around  Brock and Red Dragon Dave will do  O0

The road has serious acidents weekly and scary close calls daily. The police are responding to numerous complaints from locals who are understandably tired of the carnage, and what has long been perceived as a lack of preventive action by law enforcement. As always, the bad apples spoil it for everyone.

I rode 149 yesterday and didn't see any law enforcement anywhere - but then I'm not too worried about it since I don't push the X like it was a sport bike.
