Questions on J&M CB Handlebar mounted All-in-one Unit

I'm seriously considering this product, but I have the Punishers on my bike.  I don't know if the 1.25" mount kit will work.

My questions:

1.  I checked HDL, and their price for the 2-user unit is more expensive than J&M's website prices.  Where is the best deal for J&M products?

2.  Do the value headsets work well, or should I go ahead and get the Elite series headsets?

3.  I want to hardwire the kit to my bike's power.  Do instructions come with this unit on how to do this, or am I on my own?

4.  Is there anyone who mounted this unit on fatty bars?  How did you mount it?

Any other advice from current owners would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Oh...one more question...can you chrome it??   ;)

I have one,TomVTX, and Maw Maw  have it... I think we all have recomended it..    Deal with J&M they know their producs!!!! O0 O0 O0    They can answer all your questions!!!! 8) 8) 8)

I also have an iWay 500 with mp3 player and it plugs in to the J&M all in one.. O0 O0 O0 8)

small, medium, and large.... I have the medium priced headsets and they work fine for  me..  Is the bolt pattern the same span on your grip bolts  clutch and brake ?? If so that is where the unit mounts.... Everything comes with instruions ...  Whatelse?/color]

Kenny, did you get a license plate mount or a sissybar mount for your antenna, and how long of an antenna do you use?

I have a couple of questions on the plate mount, sir Kenny!  Since you have the C model like I do, where on the license plate do you mount it, and is it a quick disconnect?

I don't want to have it on the bike at all times.

It (the mount) is a flat bar with a twist on the end and uses two license plate bolts ... The antina can unscrew from the mount, and leave the cable in place..I think on---off with the unit would be a pain---- seat and tank on--off to hide the wireing and cable....

There are several places to buy the J&M.  I got mine from WingWorx out of Calif.  Before I bought it I called and talked to them and they were very helpful just as some of the others from other companies can be or NOT.  It's easy installation.  Probably the hardest of all was mounting the speakers inside the helmets.  Had to cut out a small amount of the styrofoam around the ear area so speaker could fit.  It is an amplified speaker so hearing even with loud pipes is not a problem. Just go for it and fork out the $$

Another question...

Since I internally wired my handlebars, I'm not looking forward to running wires outside the bars.  How did you all route your cables?
