Is your bike stock now?
You would want to do all the engine mods you plan to do before you spend the money on a dyno. Unless you want to have a before and after reading.
Had I understood more, I would have had mine run on a dyno to see what it was doing and then had a map done after the mods to make it run better and tell me what I gained.
If I was going to do it all over again, I would have left mine stock, had it dynoed to see if it needed to have the air/fuel ratio adjusted (new map). I say that now probably because I've gone the other route, spent the money and now the new has worn off. The wheels are still round and it's still all about the ride and the friends.
Once you start tinkering with it, it goes like this. Desmog, new pipes, fuel management system and then a dyno. Bottom line will be close to $1200 when your done.
A dyno run just to show what it's doing will probably run $80 to $100. A new map will run you close to $200.
Others will have a different opinion. Again, I'm no wrench.
