Future Houston Meet and Greet's
« on: May 24, 2006, 02:39:52 PM »

Everyone list the places we've been too that seem to work for us as far as capacity.  I'd like to find some new places in the future, but for now let's work on what we know so we can break down the locations and work our meets in a cross pattern or maybe some type of round robin around Houston.  Once they're listed we'll mark them on the Calendar.

If you name a place let's mark what part of town it's in...ie: north, east, south, west and central.  I'm at work and can post on occasion, but I'll list some tonight if I see any that's missing.  I just wanted to get this rolling.

There is a place on Highway 3 and Dixie Farm that has a huge patio. I think is is called Pete's

Outriggers in Kemah could also hold this group along with Cadillac Bar underneath at the boardwalk would also be good for this group. They are not busy during the week.

I know I have'nt attended many (1) but the times just might be early for some people because of horrible traffic in Houston. Driving from Friendswood up to the Woodlands our vis versa at 6 p.m. is just not fun >:(

Maybe 7:30 would be better just a thought :)

Consider adding the Wed Special and if it is any good.  I seem to recall some negatives about Sudie's.

Just a suggestion.

How about just putting no the calender North, South, East, & West and just let everyone work from there.  That is if we are going to continue with this format.  I don't think that eateries are the problem, just seems to be confusion when it comes to what side of town we are going to meet on.

just a thought..

Don't forget the awesome meet we had at Iguana Joes. Way on the east side, but the turnout was great, and the food was pretty good too.

That idea has come up a few times, and I'm all for it. We might get to see Mike and Patti more often that way. So if we do a thursday meet, will you be a no show for that one too. ;)

OUCH  :( that hurts. I know I have not been a good member :'( I have to admit I just hate riding way north or West at that time. I know everyone has to fight the same traffic but I just chose not to. My bike will be down for a couple of months than LOOK OUT BABY!!
