Local buyer, plenty of riding experience, both him and his wife, and I told him I would introduce him to you folks. He said he would give me more money for the bike if I didn't make that introduction, but that's not how I roll..... <jk> ;D  ;)

FJR? Only time will tell.....   8)

I'll cop to following Martin, but the FJR resembles your bike like I resemble George Clooney....  ;D

JMdaniel, did all the goodies go with the sale?

Yep, the buyer took the whole shootin' match, and I may throw in some VTX T-shirts, just in good faith....  O0

But I still love you guys/gals!!!  ;) O0

You are gonna love the FJR. Every time I get on it it feels smoother and prettier. The stock seat is comfortable as hell. Brakes are excellent. Power is actually too much.

Unlike Becca and Gabe, you can't get all gussied up in your little metrosexual Harley clothes or hang around rangey biker bars acting smug about your ride with a bunch of week end doo rag posers.   :'( :'(                ;D 8)

Unlike Big Schmo, you can't ride down the street and get waves and smiles from teenagers and ugly women, but if you like the way a motorcycle feels, you're in for a treat. O0 O0   :'( :'( :'(           ;D 8)

And for the record, I love my VTX. Damn good bike at a damn good price and lots of enjoyment.

After thirty years off from motorcycles, what I didn't realize was that I'm not really categorically a cruiser guy, I'm a four cylinder Jap bike kinda guy. Different strokes.    8)

Nevertheless...long live the VTX.   O0

ps  Becca and Gabe...  Don't get all in a stew about my remarks. If you're gonna pay too much for bikes with low power and bad brakes just so you can say   "Yeah, tha's ma Harlay", then you need to learn to take a joke . ;)
(Also, you know what I said is true)   And by the way...3 Hondas my Cranberries. ;D ;D

pss...Paula, I don't care what you think.

martin, I still love you... regardless of what you ride... even if you are getting too old to press and hold the clutch... and yes my bike is worth what 3 hondas cost and 2 FJR's   :D :D :D

I think you should buy me a beer @ Alabama Ice house...  I'll take a budwiser, (now that I have a Harley I can't afford anything else) so what do you say good old pal???  8)

You know that there will never be a day in this lifetime that I won't buy you a beer.  I'll be there Friday if you wanna come down. Maybe the Schmo will join us.

As for the Harley..you know that I consider whatever makes you happy a good thing.....

However...regarding my FJR..... I wouldn't brag about paying twice the money for something half as good. I'd keep that to myself.   ;) ;D ;D

Want to talk about a good deal? How about $2K off a brand new FJR?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170108068318&rd=1,1

The winner is me!! Now I just have to plan a trip up to the Twin Cities, my ol' stomping grounds, and ride it on home!!!  :) O0
