Farewell to VTX'er
« on: April 30, 2007, 10:17:34 AM »

Fellow VTX riders,
I sold my VTX yesterday and will be buying a Goldwing soon so I will be bidding farewell to my fellow X Riders and wishing you all sunny skies, cool wind in your hair and a smooth road ahead.
I will miss the VTX very much as it was a terrific bike but with two up, the Goldwing can't be beat.

Bye Jerry, just remember though....The X keeps you young, the barco wing eases you towards the grave...LOL. Ride safe, all the best wishes...but You don't HAVE to say goodbye just 'cause you're wingin', c'mon down to the BBT and visit.

That's kool and I, or we, X riders understand that there comes a time in life (above 60) that excitement might cause a ticker problem or to much to bare :-\  Does it have a saline bag holder attached to the seat?

Don't rule out a new wife....  ;)

One of the many great things about my wife is that she doesn't tell me how to spend my money...  O0

I did it backwards, I bought a Wing when I was 40 then later sold it and bought the X when I was 50, but I always have done things backassards.

The way I see it, buying a Wing and having to depart, is a misnomer.

If you've made some friends in the X Rider's group, why do you have to leave?

"Mom, Dad, I'm married now, so you're no longer my parents."  NOT

"Kid's, you're not living with me anymore, so I could care less what happens in your life." NOT

If you've made good friends, and enjoy riding, and spending time with them, Why do you say you have to leave, just because you bought another style of bike?

Yes, the Texas X Riders is a model specific group, but we never have, and hopefully, never will, exclude anyone, becuase of what they ride.

That's just my take.

Yeah RD, but have you seen the wing site?? Man there's lots of excitement going on there! A lot of them fussin', calling each other names, threatening to kick the canes out from each other.....we just can't compete with a site like that! LMAO. ;D

That was really good advice, Dad.
