Progressive 440 shocks
« on: April 19, 2007, 07:59:33 AM »

I am going to buy a set of Progressive 440 shocks. I am interested in feedback from you guys that already have a pair. I think I'm gonna go with the 12" Standard shocks. Please give me feedback with the length (11.5",12", or 12.5") and type of 440's you have (standard or heavy duty), and whether you are pleased or displeased with them. Thanks in advance!!!!

I got the 12.5s (.25 longer than stock)... they were perfect. I wouldn't go shorter as the valving won't work properly.

don't get the heavy duty unless you are going to ride two up a lot, other wise it will be too harsh of a ride.had a pair, sold them to dusty bill, he said they were perfect for pulling a trailer, but a little rough otherwise. ;)

I have the standards and I like em.  They're stiffer than the stockers for sure, but the rebound is much better.  The HD's are for really heavy guys.  I don't get past two turns when riding two up.
