Update on Gracie

We met with the doctor today, and things are really looking up. Gracie finally moved into an isolet bed this afternoon. She now weighs 4lbs 7ozs, which is a long way from the original 2lbs 11ozs. Her doctor is saying she might get to come home in a couple of weeks. We can't wait to bring her home and get things almost back to normal. Her big brother is really chomping at the bit. He can't stand going to the hospital anymore, only to look at his new little sister through the glass windows. For those of you that know what I went through in the past with my injuries, all I can say is that it doesn't hold a candle to the pain and stress I have been through the last 6 weeks. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and kind words of support. Yall are the BEST!  O0

No more I.V.'s  :)  Today she also gained another ounce,and only 1% to go before the oxygen gets removed. This is finally coming together fast. I talked to her doctor today and he said she would probably get to come home by next Wednesday. It would have been sooner if I would have ordered her car seat earlier. We decided to try one called an Angel Ride infant car bed. It was also shocking to go and buy diapers today. :o :((there goes my toy&beer money)

You won't much miss that toy/beer money, until about the time she becomes a teenager....then, you'll DESPERATELY NEED both!   :o :o ;D ;D
