Oil on threads of spark plug
« on: January 19, 2007, 10:47:57 PM »

Found this, any ideas?
b) More usually the electrode on only one spark-plug is wet, due to a blocked fuel-injector causing oil to be drawn through under vacuum. Injector cleaner (Techron/Redline-SI1/SI2/STP-Black-Bottle) in the petrol tank will resolve the problem.

Is it on all 4?  Oil on the threads can be an indicator that you didn't torque the plug right.  It will more or less try to blow out of the plug hole since it isn't seated well.

I've known some people to put axle grease on the plug threads before installing them as a type of anti-sease remedy.  It will come out looking like burnt oil sometimes.
