Here's the actual TX law on Inspection Stickers:

TRC ยง548.255.

ATTACHMENT OR PRODUCTION OF INSPECTION CERTIFICATE.

 The department shall:

require that a certificate for a motorcycle be attached to the rear of the motorcycle near the license plate

does the law define "near"?
thats what i thought. ;) 8)

Mine is stuck on the back of the plate mounting plate (1300R).  My old neighbor's (who bought his a month after I brought mine home) had an "insert" that stuck up above the plate.

Claw....What did you decide to do???? You gonna make 'em? How about setting up a poll to see how many people might be interested? That would give you some numbers, and see if it would be worth your while. 8)

I checked my displaying for the inspection sticker it was cracked too.  I will call my brother in S.C. he has a chromer machine and he may make me a new one I'm thinking about having him make a Texas shape template to use as a display for the sticker or a flag of Texas with a space for the sticker.  :-\

Is anyone still interested in these? If I go ahead with these, they will be 10 guage stainless(1/8"). There will be no bent tab. The mount will be welded to the back side. I don't know weather people want left or right side mount.

It will be about 2 weeks when I start rolling them out. (I have a life and all).

Good for you Claw. I'm glad you decided to make them. Just take orders, and fill them when you can. Everyone will just have to wait in line.
BTW If you # stamp them on the back, and sign your name with a Sharpie, I bet you would get at least $50. more for each one. ;) ;D ;D ;D

Made one out of stainless sheet cut a bit larger than the sticker.  Mounted to the right side of swingarm using the front bolt of the brake line clamp.  Fits good, looks ok for now.

Mine has been hanging on my peg board in the garage for the last couple of years.
