Totally off topic but do you use that welding machine I see in the back ground? I only ask because a guy gave me one just like it a few months back and I have never hooked it up. I thought it was an antique until I saw yours. Does it weld good?

If you have one of those welders, you own as much in the way of a stick welder as most will ever need. Its almost bullet proof, it will burn rod bigger than your home breaker can handle. I have one in the shop, for a home welder that is a fine little machine. At work I weld a lot That little cracker box will perform with the best of them. Your friend gave you a damn good welder.

You may know or not, that it won't plug in to the dryer outlet. Some houses have aluminum wire. don't do it. if aluminum is involved . Yes I learned that the hard way. That welder is capable of pulling a lot of amps.Make sure it is supported with enough current to do what you want it to do.I made the mistake of useing mine as a cutting torch, yes it will do that, all you need is air, to blow the puddle away. The welder worked fine the breaker triped when the wires were smokeing. Sorry to hijack a thread but it is important.

I'm copper and used a welder on this circuit before, just need to swap the outlet to match this machine.
Thanks for the heads up. I may be hollering at ya for tips when I get it running.   ???
