Days gone by and days left
« on: December 15, 2006, 10:13:35 AM »

I know, to most of you, this will probably be discarded reading material, but today is the last day of the first semester of my last year in this school business.  98 bottles of beer on the.....I mean 98 days of school left.  It may be a long second semester, but when May 31 is over, I'm practically done.  Those of you that don't know me, may think I'm talking about graduating, but I'm talking about retiring...30 years is long enough.  By the time the Bluebonnet Thunder gets here there will be only 9 left.

Now that I've bored you with my personal data....

Let me wish each and everyone you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Be safe if you are out on the roads during this holiday season.

Congrats Tom, I know you are excited. You are in a great area to be retired and be a biker also. Thumbs up!

Good on you Bud! I will work for another 20-25 years and then I hope to hang it up.
Thanks for being a teacher.....that is what I always wanted to do while in college, but after I got out I went into sales and the lure of the green backs steered me away.
I would not mind in a few years going down that path though....teachers are great and so under paid I think. My wife quilted a queen size heavy quilt for our son's teacher this year.
The best teachers I ever had in all of my schooling were male....wonder why that was.

Again congrats and thanks for shaping some of our young minds.
So what did you teach and did you enjoy it all those years?

Tom, you ae in the home stretch with less than 1/2 year to go.  The last time we talked you were 3 days into the school year and the defecation was already hitting the atmosheric impeller.  Thank you for your work to better these future leaders of our democracy.
(That thought make me feel depressed.)

I would like to give you a big Congratulation.

I was a bus driver for almost 3 years and I was ready to kill those little heathens. I will never have anything to do with a bunch of kids again. They are very disrepectful and will cuss you worse then a sailor. They know they can get away with it too.

and a Merry Christmas to you too........

Tommy, you haven't mentioned anything about the vandalism. Bet you didn't need to handle that in your last year, huh? (or any other...)  :-\
