Since he hasn't said anything here this post might make him mad, but Vernell's mother is in the hospital. She's had surgery and some complications. Obviously, Vernell and Dana will not have the Thanksgiving Day they had hoped for. I've met a lot of really fine people here, and Vernell is at the top of the list. I think that most of you who know him see him as I do; a really nice guy with a huge heart of gold. Lets all send a prayer his way, and stand by to help if he and Dana need anything.

Thanks everyone for the Prayers and well wishes..........and thanks to you Jim for the post as I simply just have not had the time to do it (and by no means am I mad because I'll take prayer from whomever is willing to pray for us at this moment.

My mom for the past 36 hours had been heavily medicated and earlier this afternoon she opened her eyes and was responsive to our voices  .  The Dr.'s say that she will be in ICU for at least another 48 hours and in the hospital for probably 7 more days.

As for those that are offering to help, the only thing that I can think of right now is "Prayer"!!!!!!!  We have a ways to go before being out of the woods so I have to request that we continue and I will make every effort to keep everyone updated.
