Houston Area tech session
« on: October 26, 2006, 06:53:58 PM »

I would like to host a tech session on November 18th or 19th or on a weekend in December. I own a 2000 square foot climate controlled machine shop at 2106 Catalina in Pasadena. I am in need of a valve adjustment/de-smog, but have never done it before. There will be a machinist and a millwright at the shop on whichever weekend we choose. The machinists will work for donations, depending on the complexity of the job. I would offer to cook for everybody, but I'll be working on my bike. I might be able to get Domino's or someone to sponsor the session if enough people decide to come. There is unlimited parking for whatever you drive.

I will be at the shop the night before the session for those needing valve jobs. The building has a state of the art security system piped straight into Deer Parks finest.                                                          The Teck session will be held next Saturday the 18th.

sounds good to me.
you might want to "bone up" on the PAIR valve removal and de-smog before the session. that way you will know whats going on when 14 guys attack your bike, tearing things out left and right..(ask Galpd)

If you like, I can come a do some cookin if ya need. and Im sure I could find a few stands to bring.

Yeah, what he said!  O0
I might swing by to put a new clutch in if I don't get to before then. Let us know what you may need us to bring (tools, food, beverages).

my preference would be the sooner the better. I also do better on sun, but can do either day.

I'm a machinist. I'm new to the club but would like to see if i could help out. I've made a few parts myself. Not for the motorcycle since i just got it.  Thinking about a set of floor boards for the wife. Let me know the dates.
