Route 66
« on: July 15, 2016, 08:34:59 AM »

This one is on the bucket list, not enough vacation to do this and all the other planned rides I have in the next few years...but.  Has anyone done a Houston/Spring to Hollywood via Route 66?  I am curious to see how many miles can be covered in a day and how entertaining this route actually is.  Billy Connolly did a series that I am planning on watching but that is probably a different perspective from what a regular person would experience.

I actually did Route 66 from outside of Amarillo in Adrian, TX all the way to the Santa Monica Pier.   I saw a lot of stuff on the way there.  I can divulge more if you care to know.

Inquiring minds want to know.  I haven't even cracked 20K on the Hog yet.  I need some long trips lined up.

These next few pics are sort of off the beaten path, but I can't emphasize more that if you are anywhere on Route 66 (HWY 40) you need to make the time to see the next few things.

On US 173 going to Monument Valley
