This is one of the things I really miss about Florida; schoolie tarpon on the fly.  Torn between south Texas and Florida when I retire in January 2020..........

So Connie and I are in Pensacola at the Palafox marina. I've been hearing the black drum calling during the night which is an eerie noise through the boat hull. But this afternoon, I was two of them at the same time. 4 foot monsters. I wish I had a pole. dammit. dammit.

good thing my kayak wasnt one of those or I might not have sold it and be riding today. I found out that I could paddle it out a lot further than I wanted to paddle it back.
