Looking for a shop
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:21:31 PM »

I am looking for a shop for general maintenance and specifically, I want to get the 8000 mile valve adjustment done.  I am interested in the tech sessions but really need somewhere I can drop it off on a Monday and pick it up on Friday to go ride.  I am sure there are good and bad out there so before I just drop it anywhere I was hoping I could get some recommendations preferably on the North side.

One shop I have seen is a dealer on Stubener Airline by Cypresswood.  They sell metrics and service them there.  Any nightmare stories about this place?

if someone wants to have a tech session I am in for this Saturday.  Don't mind doing it myself but I have found that sometimes it pays to have someone do it that has the tools and experience.  I hardly have time to do this stuff so paying is worth it if the job is done right.

Sorry, the shop I was talking about if Global Motorsports on Kuykendahl.  4.3 out of 5 stars on Google reviews (34 reviews).

Haven't heard anything bad about Global,  Ultimate Cycles on 1960 seems to have a good rep, why not just take it to Honda?

Which Honda dealer?  That is a shop. ..as long as they do good work I am in but want a shop that someone had good experience with.   I can look up reviews....want personal recommendations.

I had some aftermarket accessories put on by Global Motorsports soon after I bought my 1300, and they do a good job at a fair price.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.  Ed and Willie Sheets are the owners (Willie is the wife), at least when I was last in there a few years ago.
