Previous owner may have upgraded front springs in the forks. I have read of people feeling a "pop" when using either the progressives or the goldwing upgrades.

The best Cheap ones are the green ones off the "F" model. $2.50 a piece and you will need 4 total.https://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=44477&str=0&mdl=3728&mdy=2008.Good Luck

I get back in town tomorrow, I have that number and might even have a couple of spares I can give you, let me check before you order some. Not a big job if I have some and I think I do swing by and we can install them.
I have read that these are really a nylon Bearing and not a bushing. Some like them some don't. Good Luck
If the forks have been torn down before, it's very common for the "joint plate" to be re-installed at an angle on accident. It will cause a popping sensation in the front end. Might be something to look at.http://tech.bareasschoppers.com/suspension/fork-spring-replacement-vtx-1800/
