Buddy Pak - A small project
« on: September 24, 2013, 02:47:59 PM »

Been wanting to take my dog with me on some local short rides so I purchased one of those cheap trunks chopped it up and made it into a dog carrier.  mounted to a detachable rack, bolted in a tether, painted it denim black and made a small windshield.

Buddy seems to enjoy it, of course he is still getting used to it.   :bikerider:

Beautiful work! Glad you gave the dog glasses as well. Just hope the dog doesn't try to shake them off.

Just hope the dog doesn't try to shake them off.

They are actually made for dogs.  They call them Doggles and the straps go behind his ears and then a strap below is jaw.  They stay put pretty good.

Does he need a seatbelt?

When he rides I put a full body harness on him that has a D-ring at the lower portion of his chest and then I also mounted a D-ring thru the trunk and gave him enough slack on a chain to allow him to stand but he can't jump or stand out of it.
