Be careful buying kayaks that are made out of cheap materials, i.e. Academy, etc.  If you get a puncture in it, no repair that will last. Shop around. If you have never been in a tandem kayak, get ready....it's a workout! We have several kayaks, they are alot of fun. Anyways, my $.02.
