Pics From My 6-week Road Trip
« on: August 21, 2012, 12:06:14 PM »

Just wanted to share some pics from my 6-week road trip.  Took my Goldwing from Houston to Austin, then to Denver (for the Coloradical) via Palo Duro Canyon, then to Hermiston, (Eastern) Oregon via Salt Lake City and Boise, next to Glacier Park, then to Sturgis (for the rally) and the Black Hills, and finally back to Houston via Salina, Wicita, Oklahoma City and Dallas.  I spent almost 4 weeks of the trip in Hermiston, visiting my sister, and while there, we took some road trips to Coulee Dam, Portland and Mt. St. Helens.  From Houston to Denver and then from Salina back to Houston, the weather was exceptionally hot, but throughout the whole trip, I only got rained on a few times.  Really had a great time. (Even felt like I left a part of myself at Mt. Rushmore).

That last picture is too damn funny.  Damn, Mike, I don't want to know what you had to do to get your face up there.  :ohwow:

Great pictures Mike...we have been in some of the same basic areas and OMG is that beautiful country.  As others have said, the last pic is hilarious.  Very well done.

Thanks, everybody for the replies and comments.

Actually, I have to credit my buddy, Barry from Austin, with that last picture.  He couldn't resist applying his Photoshop skills when I showed him the picture of me with Mt. Rushmore in the background.
