Wouldn't it do damage to the bikes trying to turn them over and starting them after sitting for 50 years?
Yes but what he wasn't showing, well he did on a couple of them, he was pulling their plugs and lubing the cylinders before he got serious about busting them off. You said ithappened last year and he got about 4 mil? Man that just don't seem like that much moola for all the orginal stuff that was there. Guess somebody got a deal or two.

Lubing the cylinders is one thing, but what about circulating 50 year old oil in an engine that has been sitting for 50 years also?I watched an episode of American Restoration a few weeks ago. The guy, Rick, was restoring an old motorcycle for some NASCAR driver. The engine on the bike was locked up, and when he pulled the head to open the cylinder, he found a bunch of acorns!!Some squirrel had been using the exhaust and bore to store his nuts. Could you imagine kicking over one of those old classic bikes if there were nuts inside scoring up the cylinder walls?Yes, I think there were some really good deals. That's why folks go to auctions. You can see them here:http://www.auctionsamerica.com/events/all-lots.cfm?SaleCode=lh11&CFID=21498949&CFTOKEN=e247d229110fddf5-B766F5BA-03C3-E113-3606BA90CCDC905C&jsessionid=843019d54d91e4ea87e0d3b1471d33265325Either way, $4 mil is a lot of scratch.
