Finally...
« on: June 16, 2012, 09:17:23 PM »

Drawing inspiration from Weavervenom, and with the help of a huge surprise birthday gift from some of my VTX brothers and sisters, my build has finally finished. Got it inspected today, and plan to get a few miles on it tomorrow.
Added: NEW VTXtreme 6 degree black anodized trees
Custom made black anodized fat fork tubes slotted
Black powdercoated my existing RC Components rims, leaving the hubs chrome, and the rotors polished
Dynabeads
New Bad Boy horn
New custom designed Webslinger dash
New Woody's fairing with Pyle stereo
Sumo seat completely rebuilt by Mean City Cycles with memory foam, impact gel, and a full length stingray skin
Inverted Nudie Bar
New Black blade mirrors
New Black flame levers
Clutch perch, Brake perch, and clamshells painted black
Internally wired handlebars
Rivco C model risers
Modified headlight bracket to remove 6 degrees of rake
Vance & Hines Bigshots
Lots of overdue maintainance

Here's a couple pics I took at the gas station.

Awesome.
How is everything working?
I thought I saw something about you riding it to a swim meet.  How was the ride?

Rode real nice today. Just a quick jaunt into clear lake and back. Hopeing to get out for a longer scoot tomorrow. Can't go too far though, cause my daughter wants to take me to lunch for daddy's day.

Sounds like the perfect way to spend father's day.
Hope you have a great ride and a great lunch.

You're killing me.  Your phone camera is not doing the bike justice.
Please find a good camera that can show off the great work that appears to be there.
Good job.

So here's the sad part. Had the bike under construction so long, that I forgot how to use the kickstand. Went out for a ride 2 sundays ago. Went to get off the bike, and forgot the stand. When I realized it was past the point where it should be on the stand, I shifted my weight to bring it back up, and POP!!! I tore the muscle in my right calf. Rode it home, and tried to be a tough Cranberries all week. Friday I came home from work and pulled my shoe off to find a sizeable bruise on my inner heel. By Saturday, the bruise was twice as big. By sunday, my whole calf was yellow, and the bruise was now on my outer heel. Went back to the ER, and they gave me some more pain meds, and some muscle relaxers. Went to work today, and had to leave early due to the swelling and pain. Now I have a huge bruise on my lower inside calf, and my leg looks like a tree trunk. So looks like I will be laid up for the next couple days until I can get in to see the ortho doc.

I just wanna ride.
