Kudos to you.  I think you are going about it the right way.

For almost as long as the internal combustion engine has been around, there have been men trying to figure out ways to squeeze more power out of it.
As long as you don't go overboard, you will be fine modding the VTX engine.  It is a very solid platform.
The mods you have been asking about are mild to moderate upgrades and have proven reliable over and over again.

Thank you sir.  I know I could mess something up if I don't do it right.  But I've always been one to tinker with everything.  I love to take things apart just to see how they work.  But I also don't have the expendable income to dump a ton of money into fixing my mistakes.  So, I start small and learn as much as I can.
