Do I say good bye
« on: May 29, 2012, 05:25:38 PM »

Well I went and did it, got a 2007 Harley Electra Glide Ultra to replace the 2008 VTX 1300 R that I totaled. Guess I got to delete my account. :'(

:cool2: Didn't know how absolute "X" we were talking here. As far as where to ride, in front or behind, I'm riding up front so when those plastic parts fly off your X's I won't have to dodge them.  :couch:

I got your back Larry :boxing: and they aren't getting rid of me even if they try.  As far as riding in the back :violin:, they'll need the extra distance when they run out gas sooner. :ohwow:

Boy that's a fact!!!! That's the second thing I noticed about the bike.    The first was how much easier it seemed to handle. I say that cause I'm just 5 weeks out of a wheel chair from the accident that happen back in January. I'm still quite weak and actually didn't think I could ride any thing yet but I needed to get back on that horse and try. I guess the shorter wheel base makes a big difference. :bikerider:

Yeah, I noticed it too and an even bigger difference in my case from having a fairing mounted to the forks of my X and now having the fixed fairing on my Roadie.

oh, and on another note, we sure are glad you are recovering properly, at least getting a moto is a show of a good recovery.

Thanks. I sure was tired after riding it home just 100+ miles. I'll get back to my normal self in time though.

Awesome bike, I miss the 07 Ultra I used to have...  you will enjoy all the goodies that came with the bike.  The radio works great, the MPG are not too bad for a 900lb bike.  The front tire will last you over 20k miles if you keep up with the air pressure.

and best of all is still faster that most 1300's!!!

I remember that Ultra, it wasn't that fast.  :no no: We waited on that thing all the way to Virginia and back.   And it even almost got run over by an 18 wheeler.  :thatwasclose:
