Bike stuff for sale
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:12:25 PM »

As most of you know, I have been fighting a terminal case of cancer for a while.  Frankly, it is getting the better of me.  I had to make some difficult decisions.  Such as selling my camper and my bike.  I handled the camper pretty well but the bike - Well, lets just say you REALLY miss the one you love.  I have a few items left that I would like to sell so my wife won't be stuck with figuring out what to do with it.  I would like to sell the stuff to one of you.  A couple of the items are Harley branded but most of it is not.  A couple of the items are a bit unusual.  There are 2 pairs of elephant hide boots.  One sorta off the rack, the other hand made.  They are 9 1/2. and are iron tough.  Neoprene soles.  The other item is a "mystery" box of various stuff.  Cleaning stuff, sun glasses, book, face shields - weird stuff.  No you can't see what's in the box but I won't let you offer too much.

Folks - time is short.  I am a motivated seller.  You will not see prices like this anywhere.  Although I have prices in mind, I am very negotiable.  What I don't sell goes to charity for the tax write off.  PM me if you are interested in any one or more of the items.  If I can get a driver and you aren't too far away, I can deliver the items.  I will be trying to get to the next few Meet-N-Greets so perhaps that is a favorable opportunity.  Thank you for your consideration!!!  God bless you.

:good:  The jack, all three jackets, vest and boots are still available. Price is very negotiable.  Thank you for your kindness and consideration!   :good:

Man, this saddens me to hear, but keep fighting the good fight and don't give up at all even to the last moment.  I'm sorry you had to let go of your bike.  I think all of us would understand.  If there is anything we can help with please let us know.  I'm rooting for you.

I would be interested in that lift and harley lunch bag :couch:

Thank you so very much for the well wishes and responses.  An unexpected (Aren't they all?) issue has popped up delaying my answering your kind responses.  I hope to be back home by Thursday or certainly by Friday.  Please bear with me on my lack of ability to answer/counter-propose.  Your patience is appreciated.

Truthfully, thank all of you for your prayers and support during our battle.  My family and I are and have been truly blessed.  Thank you all!

Pete, let me know when you get back home, as I've been wanting to come by and see you in person.  I can bring Madelyn, too...if you're up to being "Pawpaw" for a little bit!   ;D  My prayers are still with you and the family.  I know it sucked to sell the bike, but at least you got it sold and hopefully got what you wanted for it.

Sorry for being MIA for a few days.  Chemo has screwed my blood cell production up.  We are trying to avoid another transfusion.  Last time I got 4 pints.  We only hold about 8.  I’m back for a few days depending on test results next week.  I appreciate your patience.

What I should have done when I first posted is give a guide as to what I would like to get for the items.  As I said, I am more flexible than someone with less motivation to get rid of stuff so just about any offer is worth discussing.  I will say though, the offer of fifty cents for one of the items brought both a laugh and a tear depending on the seriousness of the offer.   The suggestions below are made in the same vein of humor and compassion.

Boots - $50 - Elephant is rare leather that apparently cannot be destroyed.  I loved the comfort and sturdiness of both pair.  I have lost so much weight and muscle tone, nothing fits without discomfort.

The jacket is $100 for the camouflaged leather.  Liner included.  Real leather, heavy and warm.  Will stand up to hail, snow, rain, wind, etc.  Personally tested.

The sliver mesh on top is $40.  It is extremely comfortable and partially armored mesh jacket by Harley Davidson. Well designed and cool.  Personally tested for comfort but not for crashes.

The black mesh on bottom is $20.  It is a ladies jacket that I got from one of you Xers.  I unfortunately don’t recall who.   If it is you, let me know and I will deliver it back to you – Free of course!!   No branding on the jacket.

The motorcycle jack is a Lift-This by a company in Baytown on Gou road – I think.  $100.  It has served me well.  Strong and stable.  No leaks on the hydraulics.

The travel bags are $50 for the big travel bag, $40 for the round “backrest” bag and $10 for the insulated Harley picnic bag.

The leather vest is Harley.  $40 including patches.

The helmets and seat (Harley bagger) $5 each.

The mystery box has been sold.  Isn't that a mystery!?!

Again, thank you for your consideration. PM me if interested in any of the items.  I will respond quickly depending on problems.

Pete..........sorry to hear about you not feeling well and having to sell your Bike......

The Black Mesh Jacket was mine. Please sell it. I will not be wearing any Black jacket mesh or nylon in this Texas heat.

Take care. If you ever want some company just give Jim and me a call. We will be there.

You and your family are in my Prayers.

Good golly - I am soo sorry I forgot that the mesh jacket came from you.  You are totally correct.  I remember now.  I am so sorry.  If it sells, the $$ goes to charity.
