Not going to be riding for a few weeks - UPDATE
« on: January 04, 2012, 01:45:25 PM »

Hi Folks,

I will be having shoulder surgery tomorrow.  A long overdue fix of a rotator cuff injury.  The doc says that I need to not ride until the fixes heal completely.  Which is about 6 weeks.  I am hoping that is will be sooner than that but we will see.  So, I will be missing nice days like today for a while.  I will try to come out the M&Gs just in the cage and not the bike.

I will see everyone down the road in a few weeks.

UPDATE

Thanks for the well wishes.  The surgery went fine.  There was a lot the surgeon fixed but he did say that he was able to fix all the problems in the MRI and a couple that were not.  First rehab appointment will be on Tuesday so I will get an idea then on the time frame.  Be safe riding and I will see y'all down the road.

If you need someone to keep the cobwebs out of your bike, it just so happens I'm available for about six weeks.   ;D

Good luck with the surgery and we'll be praying for you.

Hope all goes quickly and successfully with the surgery. At least you will be back up and riding come spring time.  January and February can be pretty wet cold months anyways.

hope the surgery goes well and you better listen to the doc when it comes to recovery.  Surgery is the easy part, its the recovery or lack thereof that can put you back in the hospital.

Thanks for the offer Jason.  You are welcome to ride it right after you give me a hand putting on breaks, front and rear, and helping me take the front wheel off to get a new tire mounted.  Then putting it back on.  It needs washing also..... ;D  :P  :stickpoke:

David~
Wishing you the best of luck with your surgery.
Don't rush the recovery.  Six weeks may seem like a long time, but it won't be near as long as a lifetime of shoulder problems following a rushed recovery period.  Take your time and get better.
There is no shame in caging it while you recover from surgery.

Good luck with the surgery and take your time and let it heal plenty time to ride.
