Left turn signal issues
« on: May 11, 2011, 08:24:27 PM »

I know this is probably going to be something I am just over looking...... :-\

I have my left rear and tank display turn signal not working... The front turn signal comes on, and flashes faster than normal when I use the turn signal sw to left. (the right turn signal lights work fine both front and back, and on tank display).

I have replaced the bulb and thought of the relay but if it was the relay then all would not work.

Can somone give me some tips on what to look for o check?

I think, I could be wrong, but I believe the front signals are dual filament, which means that it can still flash, but if one is out then it will flash fast.  have you tried switching out that front left bulb as for the rear you may have a short on the line to the back.  first place to check for that short would be in the rear fender.

the double filament on front bulb one is running ligth and one turn signal, if you put a single filament bulb depending on the position of the bulb on the socket you may have just running ligth ( making flash faster) or just turn signal,  and with bike running and vibrating some times u may have just both coming and going ,  put the rigth bulb in there

I have also seen this if you put the bulb in wrong. Yes, it does make a difference.
