Tech Session?
« on: March 29, 2011, 11:47:07 AM »

Hey all, I finally got done cleaning most of the garage and looking to host a tech session after BBT maybe in 2 parts.

Tech Session I - valve adjustement and desmog
Tech Session II - steering stem and wheel bearings

Anyone interested in doing the instructional portion would be awsome. In replacing the wheel bearings the only write up or videos I found always mentioned having some wheel bearing tool kit, does anyone have this kit and is it really needed.

I think I have all the tools

I'll definitely show up. I don't need any of that done, but I'd love to meet some more riders and I could definitely learn something while helping out.

I'll have my daughter that weekend, so I may or may not be able to attend.  I'll keep watching the thread, though, and see what happens.

I think I have to work that weekend but I would love to make it out there. My bike hasn't run in about a year and a half and would love to learn how to clean my carb. Mr. VTX sent me a great step by step guide but I'm afraid to tear into it by my self. I've never done anything like that and I prefer to learn under instruction or at least have someone around that I can ask. If I could make it would it be ok to bring a trailer with me? I dont know how much room you got.

We did 2 sets of Progressive fork springs I had my bike torn down to do the Valves but could not find my tappet wrench. I borrowed one from George on Wednesday and put my bike back together. Chad showed me a throttle cable adjustment I had never done and boy what a difference runs Great Now.
