Thanks for the bump. And since a couple of guys have asked why... Wish that it weren't necessary to sell the X, but my wife (a teacher and state-licensed diagnostician) recently joined the growing ranks of TX teachers now looking for work, and then...

Our soldier son decided to celebrate a February 4th promotion and his orders/assignment coming through by jumping out of a perfectly good airplane (a week ago Friday). Just three weeks prior to going active (leaving active reserve status) as a US Army 1st Lt. and, therefore, still on our insurance plan, he jumps solo from 4,750 feet -- and fails to flare on landing. The result was multiple fractures and a $6,500 deductible (Blue Cross Blue Shield pretty much sux, but at least we had insurance...and at least the chute did open).

My wife laughed and commented, "Well, at least our TX-BCBS family deductible is met for the year." Good thing, too, as Monday our daughter went to the doc (ENT) and was scheduled for back-to-back surgeries next week. Sigh...

Yeah, hon, good thing.

So we got him home for the next three months while he goes through physical therapy, and then he ships out to Ft. Benning (and yes, for those who know, for Airborne School...irony  of it all).

So I'm selling the X, a few guns, my Calloways, and some assorted collectables to take care of his (and her) medical bills and supplement the lost income from the b'loved.

Time changes all things, and I'll be back...

Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

I'll take off the cover and shoots some pics this morning. Due to the weather they won't be the great looking poses in on upscale lawn or landscape -- just some shots of the X in the garage...

Edit: Pics are up (click thumbnail to enlarge)

I'll get better pics when the weather clears this weekend...

Edit: And I've been asked what take-off parts I have to go with the bike. I'll list the items that readily come to mind...

OEM exhausts with bracket
OEM grips with weights
OEM air box
OM Emblems
Assorted bolts, nuts, etc.

And there are numerous items not in the pics, like the battery tender, some bags (like for the cover and tender, and the Honda windsheild bag), etc. But everything in the list above, plus the take-off parts, is part of the package.

I'll get pics later, but the two guns I have left for sale (sold a SS Colt Combat Commander today) are:

  • LNIB Glock 36 .45 ACP with OEM dual stainless recoil spring upgrade, two mags (both with Pierce extensions - and original base plates), in the factory box with papers and the factory brass, with a new Merlin CC fanny pack -- approx 125 rounds fired: $600
  • Rock River Entry Tactical AR15 fully equipped (purchased new from a homeland security officer & friend) with quad railing, front handle, HI light, carry handle, scope, several mags (at least 2-3) and more, in a custom Plano aluminum case -- approx 200 rounds fired: $1,000

Well, the deed is done, albeit with no small degree of remorse.

The viXen-2 has a new owner. The bike sold today (not before one last 350 mile run, including pie) for the $7K I wanted. So I guess I'm happy.

I'll be signing off the board for a while, but hope to return sometime early next year.

Ride safe! All the best, Pug

PS: I'll be posting a number of guns and knives on the www.texashuntingforum.com classifieds over the coming week.

Pug, is the Rock River a 223 or a 308? I know they build both on the AR-15 type frame.
