RD,

Looked at the odo again (8600ish), and I ain't skairt.  Re-read all the "writes" on this topic, and appears we could push a little to the right to be able to accomodate more.

Would you rather wait until the first couple o' weeks in Oct?  Only thing I need to keep an eye on is ensuring I get to watch OU in the upset of the decade....over the 'Horns!!!   :o :o ;D ;D ::) ::)

Ummm....forgot to ask....has anyone local done the valve adjustment?  Seems like there are more than 6-9 steps....

Thanks!

Boomer, I had the same thought.  I'm told the best practice on the valve adjustment is to let it cool overnight.  Also, I need to do the "ground fix".  I think I could figure most of it myself but when I've read the instructions, I have scratched my head over a few things.

I would like to make it when y'all get a date set. I have done the valve adjustment (and the pair valve removal) - not too hard - the bike does need to be cold when you do it. Maybe y'all can drop off your bikes at RD's the night before. I am happy to help. I need to clean up some internal wiring on my beach bars too.

Hey Guys,
I have never been to one of these and would like to learn some things.  I am off the 24th if that winds up being the date.  Never done a ground fix and would like to find out what is involved and anything else I could find out.  If not please let me know when the next one will be.

Thanks

All,

I sent RD a pm to see if this date is good, but didn't get a response....will try again.  Haven't seen him on the board for a few days....course, I haven't been very active either!

Called his house and left a message just now....we'll see what up....

If no reply soon, we'll move to a later date.

Cheers,
Boomer

I think RD has been in New Mexico on business and I don't think he is back yet.

Unka Dan,

Based on last, suggest we wait 'till RD returns, then ask him kindly if he's still willing to host.  If not, we can find alternate spot once the weather cools down to stay....my garage is still damned hot!

It's all good,

Likewise I can volunteer my garage.  I've got a jack and PepsX stand.  What I lack is decent knowledge and skills.  Someone else will need to bring that.....when the garage is cooler.
