I'd like to try for this Saturday, the 16th as I think others have plans on the 23rd. . . I think some are going to Buzzfest and others are going to a Halloween party.

But I'm open other than the Lone Star Rally weekend.

We should probably come up with a plan 'B' near Huntsville if Holy Smoke should not open this Saturday.

There is a McKenzie's BBQ in Huntsville http://www.mckenziesbarbeque.com/

and a Ward's BBQ also in Huntsville . . . and a couple Grills?

. . . just say'n

Mt Zion is not that good since the lady passed.  McKenzie's BBQ here in Huntsville has much better BBQ.  There rids are a lot bigger than Mt Zion.  They just moved to a new spot and they have a nice deck for outside dinning.

So is this going to happen? Might have to ride down that way. Wife may be working this weekend and this would maybe keep me out of trouble.  :bikerider: :lunch: :c

Okay, with the interest from many of you wanting to make this trip, it is a go for this Saturday the 16th.  :bikerider:

We'll have to plan on meet up times and places around town for those on the different sides of town.

Speak up on ideas of whether East and West wants to meet up and ride out together or just meet up in Huntsville.

Still trying to reach someone about Holy Smoke BBQ being open this Saturday, and will keep trying. But as a back - up plan I did call Mckenzie's and she said they are indeed open Saturdays 10:30 to 9:00 PM.

So it's on for those wanting to go!

Hweeeu what a production  ::)

Remember when someone would post a place and say I'm going (on a Friday night), next thing you know 12 -15 folks were going riding Saturday morning.  :bikerider: :bikerider:

I'd make it but I got the kid coming home from WHATS_A_MATTER-U  can't wait to see em.
Yall have fun and be safe

So here is one suggestion for a place to meet up and a potential route to take up to Huntsville from Houston.

There is supposed to be a Denny's Restaurant there near the corner marked "A" on the map? I may have to call as the satellite view shows an empty field.
There is a Jack in the Box near there though.

Dennys
6920 S Fry Rd # M
Katy, TX 77494-8394
(281) 347-1333

But for those that want coffee or a breakfast before BBQ we could meet up there. Suppose we meet up at 9:30 AM on Saturday and KSU at 10:00 AM for a 2 - 2 1/2 hour ride up to Huntsville.

Now i don't know the best roads out that way so my proposed route is merely a suggestion.

Sorry I can't start the ride with the rest of you liberals.  I'll be at the tea party cheering the "new majority" back into power.  :t

I might meet yall up there for BBQ if I feel I can leave early because they have it under control.   ;D   :c
