A brother and fellow rider is no longer with us....
« on: September 15, 2010, 06:35:44 PM »

Sunday afternoon I receive a call. The caller ID says Glenn G. "Cool", Glenn is calling me
so we can get together for a Sunday evening ride. That's just how we do things. So, I
answer and it is his wife. Dianna is very saddened, I could tell immediatley. She tells me
that Glenn has passed away. Shock, horror, disbelief and then the extreme sadness hit.
Let me say that during our short lives, we get to meet and know people who become our
friends. I have been lucky enough to call many people friends but there are a few that I
am honored to call "best friend" or ever "my brother". Glenn was one such person. Even
the word brother seems like an understatement in this case. He and his family were/are
a big part of my life for the last twenty years and he will be very much missed. Please
send out your thoughts and prayers to Glenn's wife, Dianna and his two sons, Wes and
Michael. He left us while sleeping Sunday afternoon. We hope peacefully.
Glenn Grantom was a member of LaFamilia and his club name was El Hammer.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally wornout, shouting..."What a Ride!"

Eric, I am so sorry to hear of this loss in your life.  May the memories of the great times you have had over the years act as salve to ease the hurt in your heart.
