On the flip side, explain to her that it could cost quite a bit of money to ship the stuff you buy on the trip back to your home, especially if it's multiple bottles of wine and bigger items.  Then tell her that by getting the trunk and other stuff, you'll actually have something to use for your next trip rather than paying for shipping again.

Naw, naw, naw. Jason that was a lame excuse. You know as well as the rest of us, the only out come of that would be "gee honey now I can take that two extra pair of jeans and ------" or what ever it takes to fill that last little nook and cranny for the trip.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think the purchase may have to wait. Last night we had one of those fights that sent me sleeping in the living room. I think I will get it with out telling her, but I'll purchase mid next week after I wine and dine her over the weekend to get her on her good side.

Well, the wine and dine worked. Although, I did not take the wife to dinner, but I took her out to Labor Day Weekend Shopping. Which was WAY!!!!  more than a fancy dinner date.  , but honestly it was worth it. Wife is VERY happy. Because of this, I went ahead and ordered the trunk w/out telling her.

Not really, married 6 years and two daughters.....yes, you read correctly two girls.. ..... God help me
