I bought direct, mike... and all comments are welcome, thank you.I'm not concerned... if nothing else, I'll just have a bit more of a wait.
Gotta responding email from Des first thing this morning - seems I'm the goof. I didn't open the carton, to keep everything ready to ship back. He explained they use the "Retro" label on both the R and N products but I should find the correct (passenger) seat inside the box. My Duh! Appears all is okay! Great service from these folks... and a very nicely put together product. Will give a "ride report" tomorrow - bike goes in for 600 mile first service. Thanks y'all for your posts. Lennie
My dealer (Maxim Motorsports in Allen, Texas) does in fact recommend a "first service at 600 miles". But in reality, it's an oil change and a tire kicking. Thanks for the input though, David, appreciated.LennieBy the by, did get the new seats on.. man that front riders seat was a bear but managed to do it after getting soaked in sweat (100 out here at 10:00am). The Big Boy sets me backwards about an inch, inch and a half - good thing for leg stretching but a longer reach to the bars. I like it so far.
