If she is talking to a Black audience, then I suspect she means home of his ancestors.
I did not vote in the last election because I wasn't motivated by either candidate...and I have wanted to give Obama the benefit of the doubt because he took over at a tough moment when the economy was falling through the floor. And I have tried to stay positive about him, but this "home country of Kenya" coming from the wife of an American President at a public forum makes me want to puke.
My grandmother was a German immigrant...Germany isn't my home country. I would never say it or think it.
Neither would my father who served in the army in Europe during WW2.
