If u decide u wanna go, just let me know. I'd be happy to have ya. I know you have the family obligations and all (cute ones in the avatar), but if they threaten to kick you out for any reason around July...say ok.
I'm not adamant about being solo but I do have the following road rules for my rides:
150-300 max miles per day is desired (except for the first and last day....casual pace...visit places and linger a little while)
off the bike before twilight. (would hate to hit a deer, they seem such peaceful creatures)
no hard and fast schedule. (the only hard and fast things are leaving some day in early July and returning appx 2-3 weeks later.)
no bad moods
no arguments
no almost running over me
stops every 80-100 miles. (I like stretching and being comfortable when I ride)
if some road looks better than the one I'm on...I take it...not sure...flip a coin.
at night there is mandatory beer drinking and listening to music and cutting up with crazy strangers. (may meet an okie BMW dude on the road that I met in Durango last year)
In the am I depart when my body feels like it. (150-300) miles could be done in the afternoon if necessary. Usually riding by 9:30-10.
most important:
come home relaxed. If I arrive home without being depressed that the trip is over...then I did not follow the plan above.
