Appliance repair referral wanted -Houston
« on: April 28, 2010, 12:13:31 PM »

I called Sears to get someone out to repair my icemaker on the refrigerator (5 ½ years old) because I bought it there.

They offered me two options the first was $65 for service call plus parts and labor. I asked what the hourly rate was on labor and he could not tell me.

The second was $251.99 includes parts and labor and if they could not fix it they give you a $500 credit at Sears to buy a new one.

I probably would have gone with the first if they had a reasonable hourly rate but when they couldn’t tell me what it was I figure they sub it out to a third party and mark it up anyways.

Does anyone know of a fair and reasonable company/person that does refrigerator repairs in the Houston/Woodland area.

Thanks Sherri
