Two weeks? What can go wrong in two weeks? I've been doing this for 40 years. Started a new job two weeks ago. The guy that hired me knew me and my work.

That happened to my brother last year. 

He was looking, ran into a guy he knew.  The guy hired him that day. 

It was about 3 weeks later, a customer left a message, 30 minutes later, my brother called back, took care of the deal, and still made the delivery that afternoon.

His boss fired him for missing the call.  Anything could have happened.  He could have had no cell phone signal driving down the road, or just a problem with his phone.  He could have been on a call.

We think he hired him in as a favor, and then realized he couldn't afford another employee, and didn't have the balls to tell him.
