Went on a job interview this morning. Been laid off for 9 months now. Turned out I knew the guy. Interview took 5 minutes. I got the job.
Told him I had a previous commitment on April 22, (BBT). He said, "No problem".

Jobs are for the working class. A man with a personal Beer Goddess knows that. On the other hand Beer Goddess'es tend to look favorably on a man with a pay check in hand.
Looks like the old Win Win to me. Congrats Hobo.

Got to be a good feeling! I think if I was to loose my job at this stage of my life I would wind up in the funny farm. On the other hand, not a day goes by that I wish I could retire. Congradulations Mike!

Thanks all. Back when I was working the night shift at another company, there was a guy trying to get started on his own business. His equipment didn't get delivered on time and didn't work properly when it got there so I helped get his jobs completed along with my own until he got up and running. One of those times made me a day late getting to BBT.
Turns out that he has done well. When I walked into his office, he just smiled and said, "Job starts Monday morning at 8, you want it?"
First time I can remember that Karma came to visit and didn't kick my butt.
