big bore kit
« on: March 09, 2010, 04:38:14 PM »

Well, after some research I found a Big bore kit made by Wisco, (actually david found it) so I called the tech line and asked some questions, the valve release made on the pistons will clear the OE valves,  I could actually go with bigger valves if I wanted, also the pin Height for the pistons is the same as OE so they will bolt to the OE rods.  I have to get new sleeves since the bike now will be a 1934cc (take that Jason).  I hope I can order this parts by the end of the week and have the jugs ready to go in a few weeks.  the new compression will be 10.5:1

more power would be nice but it also means less MPG. will see what can be done... but if I did that I might as well do a different cam, does anyone have Johnne Cheese phone #  I have some questions to ask him.

Brock, yes sleeving the cylinders is very old school but i guess whe you are doing a big dog build you got to do what you got to do!!!

Ehhh, by the time you get this done, I'll have 200K+ miles on my 1300, I'll be debt free, I'll have 2.3 kids...and I'll just go out and buy the new VTX 3000 and blow your doors off.  :stickpoke:
