Great way to start the day!
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:20:40 AM »

It's been a long while since I had the chance to ride my bike to work, mainly b/c I hate wearing "proper work attire" Mon-Thurs. and trying to ride in that stuff. Well, thank God the weather is nice today and Fridays are casual days = jeans,  so I took the bike in.

I only post this to see how many other people actually enjoy there commute to work when they ride vs. cage. It can certainly put me in a better mood... Good stuff

Alright I'm done being overly excited about the simple things, but it's important to enjoy the small stuff, right?   :bikerider:

My commute is so short (2mi) that it's not worth getting all of my gear on.

I ride my bike daily to/from work.  I love it...when the weather was below freezing I did drive and it was miserable...my commute is 1+ hours each way, and riding my bike is the only thing that makes it tolerable.

You kidding me, I'll ride any chance i get.  I have to wear proper dress attire mon-friday, I just bring my clothes and change when i get to work.  I use company time to change not mine.  Only thing i think about though when i ride in, is the ride back home.  I ride to work about 3-4 days per week.

Fold the "Proper Work Attire" neatly and put it in your tank bag and GO....

When you get off work, don't forget to wad up the "Proper Work Attire" and stuff it away in the tank bag. This gets you started on the attitude adjustment even before you get on the bike.  :bikerider:

I change at work because I wouldn't be caught dead in the "Proper Work Attire" while out on the streets. But I have use "PWA" while crawling under the house and applying new bottom paint on the sailboat. Keeps me from ruining a GOOD pair of jeans.  ;D

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

+1 on that.  folded neatly in the morning and wadded up in the evening. sometimes it will stay in that damn bag for days.

I ride most every day.  Used to ride in the rain.  My rain gear sprung a leak.  I will be getting new gear next week and back to riding in the rain too.  The only thing that keeps me off is freezing weather.  2 wheels and ice don't mix.

I put up with the morning cold, so I can ride in the afternoon sunshine.

Today, I will be smiling all the way home.
