Uh oh......
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:02:59 PM »

Been cranking her up every day or so with the colder weather and noticed when I let totally off on the throttle, I hear and feel a definitive thumping/vibration, could this be the rods? I hate to think I am about to fling one of those puppies through the head, but that's the first impression of what I'm hearing. Any thoughts/suggestions? FTR, I have 57,000 miles on my 2002 1800C and have never had an issue at valve adjustment time.

Dont let honda tell you, "oh, those bikes are just naturally noise."  They told me that and then tried to scare me by saying, "well, if we open it up and there is nothing wrong, you are liable for the charges, up to 1000 bucks plus parts."

Turns out the sound was an early stage of something very very wrong.  I will say no more untill she is back in my garage.
