where can I get my bike inspected other than the stealer on the South side?

Automotive inspection "stations" here are able to inspect bikes.

Almost any inspection station, but call first because not all do the motorcycles

I showed up at a campsite where 4 of my biker co-workers were staying. We were going on a morning ride to get breakfast. Two of the guys that were supposed to ride waved me on and said "We can't make this one". My boss started his bike and looked at me and said "A lot of people 'own' motorcycles".

Any salvage yard should be able to inspect it for you Paul. They may even offer you money for it. ;) ;D ;D ;D :-*

I get mine done at a place called Mr. Sticker in Spring, but I don't know if they have them in your neck of the woods.

I had my X inspected at the Valvoline quick oil change place around the corner.  It was quick.

I got it done fifteen bucks at a quick oil change place the ticket can be a bit more and just takes a lot more of your time going to court and all for a quick simple thing.  Don't let them ride it either.  Make sure your horn and blinkers, hi beam, brake lights work also Ins. card.  If you need some more help use the ring it will always help out.
