Brakes
« on: August 20, 2009, 01:01:30 PM »

We are looking at changing out brake pads and have heard lots of people like the EBC.  Have read online and it looks like there are sintered and organic...altho organic is not available for the 1800 from what I have been told.  Since the price is only like $5 difference between OEM and EBC, is there one that is really better than the other?

On the VTXOA and Cali. boards most still like the OEM pads.  I am going to replace mine this weekend and will use OEM.

Lucky,

I have seen a lot of different threads on "Which Brand of Brake Pads to Use" and from what I can see the OEM Honda Pad is probably your best bet.

Just my opinion, Lots of them out there.  :bikerider:

Kind Regards

Yeah, stick with OEM.  If anything make sure you don't get Carbone Lorraine's.  They've squeeled since new on the VTX and on the 750 before I sold it.

Thanks all for your opinions...since the majority sides with OEMs, then so will we.  Going to pick them up today or tomorrow and will be putting them on this Saturday at the tech session.
