He did it about right, pulled his arms in and rolled with it, let the gear take the punishment instead of his dome.

Yeah he was fortunate, but I would have had that cop helping me get across the road to check my bike out instead of standing there talking so long.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

When I watched it, the sound only came on at the end.
Was there any reason for the wreck?
Glad he was ok!

probably a cager saw the cop at the last second, mashed his brakes and caught the rider off guard, who might have also been looking at the cop.

rider loses it.   cager keeps on driving.

cop wonders what all the commotion about.   (i've seen more accidents, including been in one, when people spot a cop car on the side of the road and slam their brakes.  there was even an article in a men's magazine a decade or two ago, that recommended always aggressively braking when spotting a cop, as every mph you scrubbed off  before you get hit by radar, might save you some money  ::) )

anytime i see a cop on the side of the road, i ignore him, and my situational awareness goes from vigilant to "hyper sensitive", noting all my escape lanes, and looking for any damn fool who's going to fixate on the cop.

This guy must have been on the last Maw Maw's ride, when I was giving instruction on how to survive a crash by rolling  ::)
