Honda Direct Line gets 100% of my business from now on
« on: July 25, 2006, 03:14:59 PM »

I had a minor glitch with an order from HDL; actually it was my fault, Honda Direct Line was not to blame.  They filled and shipped exactly what I ordered.  I screwed up.  The part is sold as "each" not as a pair.  On the VTXOA boards, Hal at HDL is very active and always says if there is any issue on an order to get with him and he will fix it.  So I emailed Hal last night at 7 and immediately got a reply that he would look into it and get with me today.  Long story short, Hal "fixed" my problem and I just received an email showing the item was shipped out and will be here Thursday.  Hal and his company are committed to customer satisfaction and I will buy from no one else.
Thanks Hal.   :)

I will NOT bad mouth a vendor that makes every effort to provide good service... I think HDL does this.

I did (try) to purchase a windshield from them... from my first inquiry to placing an order I had nothing but problems.  Seems no one carried the ball or did what they should have so I cancelled.

Will I try them again?  Yes.    No one is perfect, me most of all.

If, however, the ball is dropped again... then I'll go elsewhere.

I believe everyone deserves a second chance......

I thought Big Pro WAS a 14 year old girl!!!!!!!!!    We love ya, Pauley

Having been a parts man for 10 years I know the problems they have in getting every order right.
Hal and his group do a great job but they are human like the rest of us.
Another problem they have is the company has grown so fast and the volume of business is so great it takes a full time person to fix all the screw ups.  Maybe I have been lucky but I have spent about $2000 with them since I got the X and every order has come thru like a champ.  On time and correct.

FYI

 >:(

For your information...

Coincidence?

Someone(s) attempted to charge about six fraudulent purchases against my credit card today... only time I've used my card this month was a week or so back when I attempted to purchase a windshield from HDL.

My card has been cancelled and the Chase people are investigating.

..........................................................................................................................................

Just a heads-up to the membership here.  Hal at HDL posted a thread on VTXOA regarding possible credit card thefts via his site.. you may wish to review it:    http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=151525

Have you called and talked to Hal or Chris? Even though they're aware, this was a pretty recent attempt. They can go back and check their employee schedules, and see who might have handled your purchase order.

I fired and arrested 4 cashiers, and one's boyfriend for palming", stealing customer's credit cards. It had been going on for a couple of weeks, but, no customer alerted me to the problem. We happened to find out by happenstance, and once we interogated one, they all fell like a house of cards.

Please do what ever you can to help with information. Even if you think something is obvious, it may be important. FYI: Did you know that almost 70% of all business thefts, are by employees? Isn't that great! You develop a business, hire employees, boost the local economy from payroll dollars, and then 7 out of 10 employees..steal from you. ::)

RD:

Hal et al are apparently aware of the credit card hacking (read the thread by hal via the link I provided).  He alerted the VTXOA membership via this posting.

He/they think it's the credit card company or something... I sure don't understand it.

I'm not pointing fingers or making accusations.. My reason for giving this info is primarily a headsup to whomever makes internet purchases thru HDL... check your card issuer for your account info and activity.. which is what I did.

I'm sure employee theft occurs and I'm certain HDL has examined that side of it.  I'm also certain there are a lot of fraud investigations happening.   But this kind of crime runs rampant on the internet.

Again... just throwing out some info.

You run that risk every time you use a credit card, or write a check. That risk is even greater online or over the phone. It's not isolated to certain companies. ALL companies are at risk. Online bill paying is a big risk. People still do it though. (me included)
