One Proud Pappa
« on: May 09, 2009, 06:20:34 PM »

We attended my 34 year old daughter's graduation from Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton, Texas today. I am bursting with pride. When she was just out of high school, she tried to go to college, but a few life distractions led her to study in Party U. Then she went on to marry and a divorce, then another marriage to a wonderful man and they have two beautiful kids together. At 29, she decided to try college and after four hard years, she got her degree in education and she wants to be a teacher like my wife, her step mom. She did this while raising two wonderful kids, with a husband who works off shore two weeks out of four and managed to build a photography business in her "spare time".

I am posting some pics of her and her stepmom, my wife, her and the kids and her business website. I will have to wait to post a pic with me, my wife took those pics with her antique 35 mm;

Congratulations.  every so often amidst many life challenges, there are those that overcome to do what they wanted to do while still doing what they had to do.  Good job :boxing:

Congrats on the families success!
Heck, I grew-up in Belton and my grandmother used to work at UMHB back when it was an all girls school (60's & early 70').   :congrats:

Congratulations...............to your daughter.

Often when you build a good base under your children, even though they may stray in their lives, they will usually find the right path again.

Oh and I forgot to mention, while all this was happening, they bought an older house and she either handled the contractors or did much of the work herself, what a great daughter.
